Fri, 11:58 am. It was two minutes to noon when I was Dashing through this residential area in the middle of a city and saw a street name "Joseph Dr". Ahh, my bae.
I saw no passing cars around me so I stopped by the curb and took a quick pic of it. This time, I make sure I hold my phone steady enough to take a good clear pic. Because, a few months back, I did take a picture of this street but it was blurry. I was in a hurry.
I'm intrigued, how many street names have people's names on them? More specially, how many street names have your loved ones' names?
So, going back to being intrigued, I would reckon there are thousands of street names with people's names on them. Just by Dashing alone, I've already seen plenty of people's names as street names. But I never thought that one day a street name of "Joseph Dr" would mean more than just a street name to me. To top it off, besides the specific name that reminds me of my bae, it also has a wonderful divine meaning to it. In the Bible, the name Joseph means "God will add" or "God will increase". Isn't it a wonderful name? I am still yet to find a street named "Princess". :)
I remember, back home in my birth country, I bought a small house on estate outskirts of the city. It was a newly developed area. I got to name my street. I should've come up with "Putri" ( translated as Princess or the daughter of). But instead, I submitted "Kolibri". A genus of a hummingbird. I find this small bird as a reminder to appreciate life and its little pleasures. Pretty sweet and cool, eh?
