Do Dashers FaceTime with their bae when at work? Do Dashers FaceTime, video call, or text their bae, children, or friends, when going Dashing?
Thu, 4:37 pm. I was Dashing in cold afternoon weather in a Winter that is almost ending. In the cloudy sky and alone in the car, I decided to FaceTime-ing my bae at home. Driving for endless hours on my own, alone, by myself, does its toll on me. I get so lonely. Even as I have blasted songs from the radio or my playlists and sing-a-long with my heart out. Doesn't help. A familiar and loving voice on the other end is a remedy for me the owner of a lonely heart. I usually call or FaceTime them when I am at a hotspot waiting for a food order or after delivering the food order to the Diner and I just parked my car by an empty street or a curbside or pulled over at a parking lot.
Back to my bae. He was doing laundry. He brought the cell phone to the basement and back to the living room, to the bedroom, to the backyard attending his garden, and then played with his dogs, three of them. We make an effort and make time. It is what it is he likes to say.
There is another challenge, relationship-wise. Having a bae with a swing shift job. But, since I can set my Dash Schedule, I can adjust and work it out. I will go Dash in the afternoon on his morning and afternoon shift. But I'll go Dash in the late afternoon to evening in his midnight shift. Just so we have a healthy relationship. Literally. LOL. Honestly!
And so, this is the good thing about doing gig work or full-time work as a Dasher. They can set their work schedule. When to Dash and how long on the road? They can even click End Dash and just go home or elsewhere. For me right now, being a Dasher and doing Dashing works well.
So yes, you bet, Dashers do call and text their loved ones. I do. Because it will make my day.
