Sat, 11:32 pm. It was late at night when I finished working on this content including editing this screenshot of 2 grocery orders for posting. Apparently, on a Dash Offer, a Dasher won't just get a single offer but it can also be a double offer, or a back-to-back offer, in one Dash Offer. At first, I didn't know. Until one day, like the one in the pic below, I received 2 groceries order in one Dash.
So, what would I do when I see two orders in one Dash Offer on my Dash? Will I Accept or Decline it?
Like this one here: It was my first time accepting and picking up these two Dash groceries orders back-to-back at Walmart. The orders said 16 items and the other order was for 55 items. I had no idea what the items were until I saw the Walmart employee push the pick-up cart and brought them to my car.
Doing Dash is not for the faint of heart, is true. Also, doing grocery orders is more to physical ability too. Not knowing first-hand the contents of the groceries order, is it lightweight or heavyweight, is not correct. I believe, there should be transparency in the offer before Dasher clicks accept. Dashers must know what they are getting into.
So, I asked myself, what would I do when I see a back-to-back offer in my future Dashing? Will I take it again or will I not? It depends. On some Dash, I will click Accept on a back-to-back offer. There is a back-to-back offer that doesn't make sense. It was a very low amount of payout with a long-distance delivery. Sometimes I clicked Accept too fast and I ended up doing the Dash. Although there is a button to Cancel it (the Dasher has to give a reason why they cancel the Offer). But I rarely cancel an Offer that I Accepted. I feel like I am responsible for my action. In this case, I clicked Accept. I think I cancel 1-3 offers by accident in my entire 6+ months of Dashing. (Now, this is different than Declining an Offer.) But of course, there is always a reason why a Dasher canceled an Offer so that decision will be entirely up to the Dasher. They can cancel it or continue.
What is my expression when I see two orders in one Dash Offer on your Dash? I'd smile first. My eyes will turn big with my mouth saying "O yeah!" A back-to-back order to me means "kill two birds with one stone". But then, my mind would make a quick assessment, should I take it or not? Accept or Decline? I'd scan the Dash Offer and look into the distance and the payout. If it makes sense and according to my needs and business strategy, I will click Accept. If not, I don't hesitate to click Decline.
As a Dasher, I mostly accept a back-to-back Dash Offer. Especially if it's a food order. Not so keen on grocery orders but out of curiosity, I will accept these double grocery offers. I remember, some time ago, I got a 5 back-to-back offer. I was like, hey... how can I do 5 back-to-back delivery like this? At that time, I didn't know that a Dasher can get a Dash to offer more than 2 back-to-back offers. But that offer turned out to be a glitch in the system.
